Aditya Agarwal — PokerStars star from India

Aditya Agarwal was born and grew up in Darjeeling. He moved to USA to study in Drexel University. In America Aditya got engineering education, but instead of work in this field he chose marketing.

In USA Aditya got acquainted with poker. The acquaintance with game occurred in 2003 due to local TV. To the moment of graduating Agarwal had been already professional poker player and made living on winnings.

During career Aditya have won more than $4,000,000 due to mainly large tournaments on pokerStars, including $100 rebuy tournament. In the internet Agarwal is famous by the nickname “intervention” on TiltPoker and Adi Agarwal on PokerStars (from 2004). In 2006 Aditya entered the PokerStars Team as a representative from from India in the international poker room line-up.

In offline tournaments Aditya haven’t managed to achieve similar success, but have got in prize zone of World Series of Poker several times. His total win in offline tournaments is more than $700,000.

At present Agarwal lives in Kolkata and actively plays poker. In 2017 he participated in World Series of Poker, where he got in prize zone in 11 tournaments (and it is great success!). Besides that, Aditya have managed to come to the final table of the tournament of $1,500 with 1739 participants. Unfortunately, he got only 9 place in the tournament, and the winner was the possessor of 3 WSOP David Pham bracelets.

The largest winning in offline tournaments is 71 place in WSOP $10,000 Championship Main Event in 2015 with the prize of $96,445.
